Family Coach provides Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) by educating clients and parents on healthy ways to manage the children’s mental health needs preferably within the natural family environment. Family Coach will teach children and their families in using healthy coping and communication skills. Family Coach will instruct families in coping with stresses involved in dealing with children’s behaviors. Family Coach will assist the family and child in gaining understanding of the youth’s mental health needs. Volunteer Internship Opportunities
Volunteer internships at Life-Line Resources offer college students the opportunity to integrate classroom theory into the world of work. Interns acquire first-hand experience working with emotionally troubled children while earning college credit. In addition to being a great learning experience, an internship at Life-Line Resources enables a student to explore future career opportunities.  Life-Line has a good track record of offering permanent employment to those who successfully complete an internship experience.

College students may complete a volunteer internship at Life-Line at any time during the academic school year. The hours for the internship are flexible to accommodate class and work schedules. Most interns volunteer between 15–20 hours per week including morning, afternoon and evening hours.

Please see our Internship Opportunities Overview (link to pdf document) information document for an idea of what the internship would include.  Interested students should contact the Human Resources Department to receive application materials. A résumé and three letters of recommendation from professors, previous employers, or previous volunteer supervisors are required along with the Application for Volunteer Internship (link to pdf document). Background checks with the Division of Criminal Investigation, Dependent Adult Abuse Registry, Sex Offender Registry and the Child Abuse Registry are also completed.
