"We Strive" Girls Group:  The mission of We Strive is to motivate young women to further their education and embrace success. We Strive seeks to empower young adults to adopt a value system that cultivates a positive and productive choice system. We Strive enhances the academic learning and development processes of young adolescent girls helping to prevent and reduce problem behaviors of girls from 5-18 years of age. To succeed in its mission and purpose We Strive has created a multidimensional structured curriculum with an emphasis on social skills, life skills, behavior management, and reinforcement of each participants age appropriate school curriculum. The program includes workshops in music, art and poetry, in order to provide an outlet for their feelings and to build self awareness and self esteem.

George Washington Carver School, Mon 2:35pm - 4:00pm & Wed 1:15pm - 3:15pm

"Lifting as We Climb" Boys Group: A group designed for boys 5-18 years of age and focuses on teaching vital skills such as: communication and social skills, self esteem, conflict resolution, problem solving, communication. These skills are reinforced with hands-on activities, role plays, interaction with community members, tours to various organizations, career planning, college tours, etc.
